Portrait of Julian M. Siebert

I am a PhD candidate in the Developmental and Psychological Sciences and Education Data Science programmes at the Stanford Graduate School of Education.

Together with my primary advisor, Guillermo Solano-Flores, I work toward increasing linguistic fairness in all kinds of assessments. I currently spend most of my time working with UCSF’s Multitudes Project on building a linguistically fair reading screener for Californian public schools.

I am also a member of Jason Yeatman’s Brain Development and Education Lab, where I work on the development and linguistic evaluation of the Rapid Online Assessment of Reading, as well as on creating a Spanish version thereof.

Throughout my work, I strive to use high-quality (interactive) data visualisation and effective science communication techniques.
